This concertina is a Star Beauty belonging to Dan Melander. Dan lives in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. It is reddish brown in color and is a quadruple reed, key of 'C'. The reeds are mounted on individual plates and are waxed on to the reed blocks. This concertina was purchased used in 1996 from the Star Concertina Company in Chicago. The original owner traded it in on a new 'Star Old Timer'. The 'Star Old Timer' has somewhat wider button spacing and uses 'long plate' reeds.
